The problems should be corrected by the dates given, or they will become possible iolations. The possible <br />violations should be corrected by the dates given to reduce their severity when considered by the fined Land Reclamation <br />Board. The inspector noted on the previous page should be notified of all corrective actions tak n. <br />PROBLEMS/POSSIBLE VIOLATIONS <br />AND <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Due to the steep slope on which the stockpile is Located and the steep October 30 20 <br />outslope of the stockpile, DMG is concerned that geotechnical stability of B or PV: PB <br />the stockpile be adequately demonstrated in order to ensure that no adverse OPIC(SI: Pw <br />impacts to public safety and/or Hwy 141 occur. Therefore, DMG requires MP RS , _ <br />that the operator satisfy the applicable requirements of Rule 6.5, <br />Geotechnical Stability Exhibit, addressing stability of the existing stockpile <br />and highwall. Given the proximity of Hwy 141 to the boundaries of <br />affected lands, DMG also requires that the operator submit the information <br />required by Rule 6.4.19. Please note that the information required under <br />Rule 6.5 may also satisfy the requirements of Rule 6.4.191b). <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Within sixty !60) days from the signature date of <br />this report, by October 30. 2000, submit a Geotechnical Stability Exhibit, in <br />accordance with Rule 6.5, addressing the existing 60,000 cy stockpile of <br />material at the Phase II location of Area A, and the highwall at Phase I <br />location of Area A. <br />NOTE: Should the operator fail to submit the required information by the <br />corrective action deadline, DMG may recalculate the cost of reclamation to <br />include removal or relocation of the stockpiled material. <br /> <br />Attachments: Map of Area A, showing locations of erosion to the stockpile; <br />Copy of Rule 6.4.19 and 6.5; and <br />Certificate of Service. <br />
