<br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the Ohio Creek Coal Mine #2 for the month of June, 2001. <br />Hydrologic Balance: The site is stable and shows little signs of erosion. The pond had a tracew <br />amount of water in it and was not discharging. The pond is capable of functioning as designed <br />General Mine Compliance: The mine is a candidate for a reduction in frequency findings. Most <br />likely, two inspections a year would be more than adequate. <br />Reclamation Success: The site is recovering from the heavy grazing last fall. Although the <br />vegetation is doing well, the non disturbed areas of the mine has far better vegetative growth as can <br />be seen in the two photos below. <br />Reclaimed <br />
