III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE I / / 7= C_GJ~ _p~/
Pb-yr (larl/1/vv0a ~°
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations
made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during
the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was an aerial inspection of the Hayden Gulch Loadout conducted by Jim Stark
of CDMG. The photographs were taken by Harry Ranney of CDMG. The weather
appeared to be clear and sunny and there was a small amount of snow on the
shaded areas.
The truck loop appeared to be stable and in good condition. There did not appear
to be any erosion problems or ruts on the road. The light-use road to the loadout
tower and around the facilities area also appeared to be stable and in good
condition. There were no ruts or erosion problems on this road, either. Access to the
HG Loadout is via the Seneca Coal Company TAHR. This road appeared to be well
maintained and in good condition.
The truck loop pond (pond 1) contained water but appeared to be several feet
below the spillway. Pond 1 appeared to be stable and was well vegetated. The
train loadout pond (pond 2) appeared to be dry. Pond 2 appeared to be well
vegetated and stable. The ditches around the facilities area (that flow into pond 2)
all appeared to be stable and well vegetated.
The loadout loop appeared to be in good condition. There did not appear to be
any problems due to erosion on the rail loop. The entire area appeared to be well
vegetated.
Overall the mine site appeared to be in good condition.
