Ed Stewart, General Manager of our division
in Gunnison had emergency surgery October 12. He will be out untfl at least October 24. I
allowed our response to be ignored.
I do not have all of the information that we have generated, including the survey that was done. I
am including my copy of the Slope Stability Analysis that was done by CTL Thompson.
If I am interpreting the study correctly, both issues raised by your inspection can be mitigated by
pushing up pit material from the bottom of the excavation to reach a slope of 2:1 and 3:1 where
required. Since we have not reached the bottom of the pit material this can be accomplished
relatively easily with a dozer.
If you need more information feel free to give me a call. I will be glad to follow up for Ed.
Sincerely,
~~~~C
Tom Brubaker
President
ROCKY FORD LAMAR TRINIDAD WALSENBURG RATON GUNNISON CRESTED BUTTE CANON CITY
