10. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This aerial inspection was flown on January 30, 2000. No problems with compliance were observed <br />during the overflight. The aerial pictures were examined on February 7, 2000. There was very little <br />snow at the mine site. <br />Roads <br />The paved haul road, the gob pile haul road and the access road to the water tank bench were in very <br />good shape. <br />Facilities <br />A couple of haul trucks were on the paved main haul road. A third haul truck was being loaded by <br />front end loader at the portal bench. There was no evidence of fugitive dust. There is a considerable <br />amount of coal stockpiled on the portal bench. The stockpile appeazs to be getting close to the portal <br />bench outer berm but there was no evidence of coal going onto the bench outer slope. <br />Slone Stabiliri <br />There were no signs of slope instability with the cut and fill azeas at the mine site. <br />Hvdroloev <br />No erosional problems were observed at the mine site. The main riprapped drainage ditches appeared <br />to be functional. There was some ice-covered water in the gob pile Pond D. <br />Gob Pile <br />The operator has placed and graded a considerable amount of gob that had been piled on the gob pile. <br />Additional truck loads of gob have been placed on the pile. <br />cams 9'Tbowie2\insp0100 <br />
