III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the
inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence
supporting the enforcement action.
This was a complete inspection of [he Hamilton Mine for the month of May, ?000.
RECORDS: Records were inspected and found to be satisfactory. See page 5 of this report for further details.
ROADS: The section of road along the west perimeter of [he mine is deteriorating due [o vehicular traffic during
times when the road is muddy. Maintenance in the form of additiona[gravel or /he installation ojwater bars to
drain the road will rseed to accomplished prior to flee next complete inspection. All other sections of the road appear
stable.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: All ditches and culverts are clear and capable of functioning as designed. Pond A
was dry at the time of the inspection and Pond B was damp but no standing water was present.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS: The site's vegetation is starting to grow again, with numerous signs of new
vegetation throughout the site. Spraying for noxious weeds within the next few weeks would be very appropriate
at this time. The site is very stable as far as erosion is concerned. ........
