(Page 2) MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: ~~-199R-103 INSPECTION DATE: x-2-n'~ INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: .JD.- OBSERVATIONS Completed an inspection of this operation as part of a Mtned Land Reclamation Board directive to inspect every mine in the state at least once every four years. The site was last inspected on 6-29-99. This Is a 9.8 acre Limited Impact permit located about 6 miles southwest of Limon just north of US highway 24. A mine ID sign is posted at the entrance of the permit area. The permit boundaries are adequately delineated with steel fence posts. Mining is progressing from north to south as approved Avery small portion of the product stockpile extends outside the permit area (about 2 feet). The operator must relocate the stockpile to the west so it is totally within the permit boundary. This will not be noted as a problem since H does not represent a major (or even a m(oor) impact. The access road was directed around the stockpile so it, too, is partially outside the permit boundary. The road must be relocated back inside the permit boundary. In order to ensure that the stockpile and road will not be moved back to the east (once they are relocated to the west), the operator must install boundary markers (fence posts, etc.) to delineate the entire east boundary Ilne of the permit area. Once fhe stockpile and road are moved, the operator should reseed the small disturbances (rake In the seeds). The relocation of the stockpile and road, and the reseeding of the disturbances, should be completed within 30- days from the date of this inspection report. Did not observe any notable problems.
