(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-83-tn9
INSPECTION DATE: 7h ~/nn
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: JCS
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted in order to check compliance of the operation with the requirements of the
Act, Rules, and the conditions of the permit. The site is in reclamation, and., reportedly, there are no plans
to reactivate. The County was represented by Rick Spady during the inspection.
The ID sign was in order. The County representative had difficulty in locating markers for the boundaries of
the permiVaffected area. One marker, possibly for the NE corner of the permiVaffected area, was identified
for this inspector. Because of the significant amount of curved boundary for the permiVaffected area, the
limits of the permiVaffected area may be somewhat difficult to mark, but they must be. If and when a
request by the County for release of reclamation responsibility is made, the Division must be able to
determine if the County has completely met its reclamation obligation. This is a compliance problem that
will be included on Pate 3 of this report.
The margins of the pit have acceptable slopes, but not all portions are stable. There are areas essentially
barren of vegetation with some fairly significant evidence of erosion. This constitutes a compliance problem
that will be included on Page 3 of this report.
Mosi of the pit, as well as the access road, has good vegetative cover. The site could qualify for release if
the relatively limited problem areas lacking vegetation and obviously undergoing erosion could be
upgraded.
CERTIFIED MAIL NO. `fp 3 ~ ~~y ~q ~
RETURN RECEIPT R QUESTED
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Rick Spady
OPERATOR: Kiowa Countv
STREET: P.O.
