ORIGINAL -PUBLIC FILE
(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn_tes;n_~ee
INSPECTION DATE: INSPECTOROS INITIALS: ~~
OBSERVATIONS
The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the site at the request
of the operator on 5/OS/04.The site is a very small in stream sand and
gravel operation located approximately 34 a mile east of Florescent
Colorado. The only activity on site is removal of existing processed
material on, as need bases. As reported in the earlier inspection, of
7/9/03, the operator, had not been able to wet mine as approved in the
permit, due to lack of adequate water rights. During the 7/9/03 inspection,
the operator Mr. Clare had agreed to submit a TR, to change the mining plan
from wet to dry mining. However since that time, no TR was submitted. On
5/4/04, Mr. Calre contacted the Division and requested an on site
inspection to resolve the issue.
Present during the site inspection on 5/5//04 were Mr. Harold Clare and Mr.
Justin Clare, the operators. Mr Harlod Clare insisted that he would like to
complet the recalamtion rather than submit a TR to change the mining plan.
He was notified to contact the Army Corps and the State Engineers Office of
his intentions, and as long as it is to complet the reclamation, the
Division would not object. He also stated that, since he owns an artesian
well not too far from the operation, if need be, he would deliver water to
the operation from the well. Permit sign and boundary markers properly
posted, no major problem noted. Existing warranty is more than adequate to
complete the recalamtion.
Prior to departing, Mr. Clare wanted to know about an already permitted
operation in Park County. He was informed that the specialist for the
permitted operation (Snow Storm Platter) was Mr. James Dillie and that he
should contact him, to get updated information about the site. He said he
would contact Mr. Dillie as soon as possible.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: MR.HAROLD CLARE
OPERATOR: AC CONCRETE
STREET: 1Rn61TFl I FR ONF
CITY/STATE/ZIP: FIORISSIANT COIORAf)ORnR1G
CC:
Harry Posey (e-mail)
cc: r CE
I' BL
r FS
1' H W
1' HMWMD (CH)
t
t SE
t WQCD (CH)
P OTHER
