The Rimrock Mine consists of approximately seven acres of <br />reclamation. The weather was cool, partly cloudy, and windy and ground conditions were <br />wet and muddy due to recent snow and snowmelt. <br />Availability of Records <br />The mine records are kept at the Office of the Las Animas County Planner at the Las <br />Animas County Courthouse in Trinidad. The records are effectively unchanged since last <br />months complete inspection. The operator should file a current copy of the Colorado <br />Discharge Permit System (CDPS) General permit for Coal Mining. The CDPS permit on file <br />is expired but has been renewed statewide in 2002. All other records were found in <br />compliance and as indicated on page 2a of this report. <br />Hvdrolooic Balance <br />The single sediment pond at the site held a small amount of water in the northwest portion of <br />the pond.
