III. COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE `jG~ ~`~~ d3~
9M~0 ( ~-
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations
made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during
the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a partial inspection of the GEC mine conducted by Jim Stark of CDMG. The
bond for this site has been forfeited and reclamation was completed by DMG. The
weather was warm and cloudy and the ground was dry.
The access road to the East and West Pit areas has some ruts but is in overall good
condition. The East Pit drainage was in good shape. The riprap that was placed in
the two gullies below the road and the top of the drainage still appears to be stable.
It is beginning to fill in a bit with sediment. Both the East and West Pit areas seemed
to be well vegetated and in good shape.
The Orphan Pit, Tipple and Duck Pond areas were also well vegetated and in good
condition. The road to these areas is the Corley Mountain Ranch Road. This road is
well maintained and in good condition.
