A site inspection of the Skold Pit was made as part of the Division's on-going 4-year inspection program. The site is <br />located approximately 27 miles southwest of ]ulesberg. Mr. Randy Renquist of Sedgwick County was present during the <br />site inspection. <br />2. The Skold Pit was permitted for a total of 9.9 acres. The mine plan specifies conventional dry mining techniques. The <br />Skold Pit will be reclaimed to rangeland. There is no financial warranty required, per Rule 4.1.2(2), as the operator is a <br />unit of County Government. <br />3. The Skold Pit is an alive pit with an estimated 3.0 acres of disturbance. Depth of excavation was estimated to be 15 <br />feet below ground surface. Topsoil has been salvaged and stockpiled for future use in reclamation. There was no <br />evidence of exposed groundwater. All disturbances were within the 9.9 acre permit area. <br />4.
