ORIGINAL -PUBLIC FILE
Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn_1e9~_na~
INSPECTION DATE: 6/~~~n~ INSPECTORDS INITIALS: -Bl~
OBSERVATION
The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the site at the request
of the operator. Mr. Rusty Cochran contacted the Division and wanted a site
inspection to go over the sites recalamtion plan and possible changes to
the access road and small stockpile located on the site. The site is 112
sand and gravel operation located approximately 5 miles South of Highway
50, in Pueblo County. The site is in reclamation, with the exception of a
two processed stockpiles, one to be removed by the operator and the other
to be left for the lease holder. The affected area has been graded and top
soiled. According to Rusty, it is expected to be seeded this coming fall.
Mr. Cochran wanted to know if both the State land Board and the mineral and
surface lease holder agree to have the access road left un- reclaimed what
it would take to change the reclamation plan. After a phone consultation
with Mr. Bruce Humphries, Mineral Program Supervisor, after the inspection
of the site, it was agreed that if the operator can provide 1) A letter
from the State Land Board stating that they would like to have the access
road left in place 2) Provide a letter from the lease holder that the small
processed stockpile material will be used on the property and will not be
sold #3) Submit a Technical Revision to the permit to implement the
changes.
Mr. Cochran agreed to get the letter from the operator. The Division
contacted Mr. Mark Davis about the operator's wishes of leaving the access
road to the property. Mr. Davis stated that he would like the access road
left in place and provided a letter to that effect on 6/ 28/06.
I & E Contact Address r WQCD (CH)
r OTHER
NAME: MR.MARK VIGIL
OPERATOR: LAFARGE NORTH AMERICA
STREET: 1 n17n CHURCH RANCH WAY SI11TF Inn
CITY/STATE/ZIP: wFSTnnwsTFR c~ Rnml
CC:
cc: r CE
r BL
r FS
r HW
r HMWMD (CH)
r
r sE
