ORIGINAL -PUBLIC FILE
(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: tit-I9RV-1y9
INSPECTION DATE: R/16/~~ INSPECTORDS INITIALS: Ali
OBSERVATIONS
The Division conducted a compliance monitoring inspection of the site to verify the PB
sited during a monitoring inspection as a result of a citizens complaint in October
2006.No operator was present at the time of the inspection
1) Site is a small 110 sand and gravel operation located near La Veta Colorado.
2) When the site was inspected in October the Division had sited two problems. One for
large noxious weed infestation the other for placing large quantities of none mine
waste and tree debris in the permit area. These tow problems were sited by the
complaint letter. Operator was given until the end of June to be in compliance with
both possible problems.
3) The site was not active at the time of the inspection. The adjacent 111 Lafarge
permit however was active.
4) Operator had made a lot of progress in removing the non-mine waste from the site.
Three were still some old toilet bowls, sinks, and small amounts of house hold waste
noted but compared to the amount that was observed in October, the ones noted at the
time of this inspection appeared to be manageable. The three motor vehicles one
Mercedes, a Buick and truck were in still in place. For the most part, however, the
operator had removed most of what was observed in October.
5) Active noxious weed spreading was also noted on the property North of the 111
permit. There were some noxious weeds noted at the time of this inspection
I & E Contact Address
NAME: JACQUE GOEMMER
OPERATOR: SAME AS ABOVE
STREET: P c7 RnX 165
CITY/STATE/ZIP: I n Vatn Cn R1055
cc: r CE
r BL
r FS, David Hyattt
r HW
r HMWMD (CH)
r
r SE
r WQCD (CH)
r OTHER
