~~.: ;~ <br />NOV 2 2 2004 <br />Division of Minerals & Ceolopy <br />November 18, 2004 <br />Kathleen Sullivan <br />Division of Minerals and Geology <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />RE: Deer Creek Quarry, Permit M1997-014 <br />5/6/04 Inspection Report <br />Dear Ms. Sullivan: <br /> <br />AGGREGATE <br />INDUSTRIES <br />In Mr. Dillie's inspection report dated May 6, 2004, he observed "steel drums in the <br />equipment area appear to contain toxic chemicals (anti-freeze) and are located outside of <br />an adequate containment facility." <br />These drums are no longer located at the Deer Creek Quarry and an adequate <br />containment shed -providing secondary contailunent for drum and/or pail products -has <br />been established (see attached). Additionally, as required by Aggregate Industries' <br />Environmental Management System (EMS), an area has been set up for storage of empty <br />55 gallon drums. <br />Please call me if I can be of further assistance (303-716-5304).
