111. COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the inspection. <br />Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or evidence supposing the <br />enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the Sunlight Mine conducted by Erica Crosby of DMG. No company <br />representative was present during the inspection. The Sunlight Mine status is revoked. The <br />inspection involved viewing two aerial photographs taken by Harry Ranney on April 27, 1998. <br />Weather and ground conditions on site appeared clear and dry. <br />Roads The upper and lower portal roads could be depicted in the photos due to lack of vegetation. <br />No problems were noted. <br />~drologic Balance The upper diversion ditch was noted in the photos, and no problems were <br />detected. The sediment pond was not included in the photos. <br />Backfilling 8 Grading No disturbance or subsidence was noted around the portal areas. The <br />condition of the crib wall has not changed since the last inspection. A number of timbers appear. <br />loose, but this does not appear to jeopardize the integrity of the crib wall. <br />
