show excellent results regarding revegetation efforts. Annual weeds, cover crop, mulch, and <br />seeded perennial vegetation all combine to provide very good hydrologic cover and the <br />majority of these two areas. One patch of Canada thistle was noted in the southwest corner <br />of the coal stockpile #4 reclaimed area. Early control of this aggressive species will assist <br />weed control efforts in the long term. <br />Subsidence <br />The chimney collapse over a portal at the West Mine appears the same size as last month, <br />indicating no significant growth of the opening. The chain link fence surrounding the hole <br />remains in good condition, preventing accidental entry by man or beast. A plan to more <br />permanently seal this opening should be developed and submitted to the Division for review <br />and approval prior to repairing this feature. <br />Overall, the site appeared in good condition for the fall season <br />
