III. COMMENTS • COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enlorcemonl actions taken during the mspecton and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the New Horizon Mine for the month of September, 2003. The purpose of <br />this rnspection is to conduct normal operations and environmental compliance. <br />ROADS: All roads appear to be in excellent condition. 2700 Road detour (photo #1) is an outstanding <br />road. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: Ponds land 8 have water in them and 7 may be discharging. Pond 9 was <br />damp All ddches and culverts appear to be clean and capable of functiornng as desgned. <br />BACKFILL 8 GRADING: B 8 G was in progress as is normal. No problems were noted. <br />TOPSOIL: Topsoil removal is in progress east of 2700 road and topsoil is being lard down south of <br />the E-'N pit as seen from photo #2. <br />GENERAL MINE COMPLIANCE The removal and revegetalion of Ward Burbridges' stock pond and <br />reparr of a low spot is doing well (photo #3). <br />Photo 1 <br />- :~_... , <br />t • . <br />~ L~ <br />
