ORIGINAL - POBLIC FILE <br />(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: ti+-~ nn-151 <br />INSPECTION DATE: 9/92/4 INSPECTOROS INITIALS: ~- <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the site as part of the <br />fiscal year 2003-2004 inspection program which requires site to be <br />inspected at least once every four years. The site is a 112 sand and gravel <br />operation located approximately 3.5 miles south east of Canon City. Present <br />during the inspection was Denise Gonzales of Fremont Paving & Redi mix. <br />According to Denise, due to complaints from adjacent homeowners about truck <br />traffic and dust, the site is only used on as need basis. Approximately 5 <br />acres appeared to have been disturbed. Vertical High wall measures <br />approximately 10 feet. It was stable, pit floor was dry. There was a small <br />amount of processed material located along the north east side of the <br />permit area. Overburden stockpile was properly protected. <br />The site is a phased operation with a total of 20 acres affected at any <br />given time. Total permit area is 231 acres. <br />Permit sign and boundary markers were properly posted.
