III. Comments/Compliance <br />This was a complete inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG on the morning of <br />Thursday, October 12, 2006. This site was quiet and deserted. <br />At the East Mine, the south-facing slopes were wet from the recent rains. There was no sign <br />of instability <br />There was no evidence of erosion at the bottom of the slope. A berm remains along much <br />of the length of the slope between the reclaimed area and the river. That berm remains in <br />tact and has not been breeched, so there is no evidence of any sediment reaching the river <br />from the site. <br />The ditches contained a great deal of water. <br />A trailer with an access road has been set up on the East mine site. <br />The slope at the middle mine was stable with no erosion, both above and below the road. <br />The west mine showed excellent vegetative cover, especially with rabbitbrush, The pond <br />embankments were stable and the pond bottom contained a foot or more of water. <br />
