A site inspection was conducted to evaluate the extent and cost of reclamation needed in <br />order to complete the existing reclamation plan. The operator has posted a reclamation bond <br />in the amount of $365,000. <br />2. Listed below is a list of reclamation tasks that are necessary for the existing 9.9 acre <br />permit area. <br />A. Alluvial Soil Cut - regrade 8' highwall to a 3:1 slope (440 cubic yards) <br />B. Exposed Mine Bench - reapply a 6" topsoil cover (422 cubic yards) <br />C. Pit Highwall - regrade 20' highwall to a 3:1 slope (2067 cubic yards) <br />D. Clay Stockpile/Adjacent Area - regrade 2 acres (4839 cubic yards) <br />E. Topsoil Reapplication - 6" cover over 3 acres (2420 cubic yards) <br />F. Revegetation - revegetate approximately 9.9 disturbed acres <br />3. Listed below is a cursory list of reclamation tasks that are necessary for disturbances <br />located outside the existing 9.9 acre permit area. <br />A. Small Pit - backfill with overburden (2150 cubic yards) <br />B. Regrade 3 Acres of Moderate Disturbance (7,500 cubic yards) <br />C. Topsoil Reapplication - 6" cover over 3 acres (2420 cubic yards) <br />D. Revegetation - revegetate approximately 12 disturbed acres <br />4. The Division will be use the material volumes and acreages noted above in order to <br />calculate a current reclamation cost for the Siloam Mine, Permit No. M-77-326, and the <br />surrounding disturbance known as the "Mueller Pit," File No. M-97-018. <br />I & E Contact Address <br />Wavne D.
