The pit was inactive <br />at the time of the inspection. The County was represented by Mr. Pete Aragon during the <br />inspection. <br />An acceptable ID sign was posted. Boundary markers for the permit area were identified by the <br />County representative. <br />The pit is small and the associated disturbance is within the boundaries indicated. There has <br />been no reclamation conducted for the pit nor is any mentioned in the annual reports. <br />While the approved mining plan commits the County to salvage the 6 to 8 inches of topsoil at <br />the site and .o stockpile it for reclamation purposes, the volume of topsoil in the only <br />stockpile of that resource identified during the inspection appears to be far less than would <br />be required for completion of the approved reclamation plan.
