III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />Page 1/1 Eastside C-84-063 <br />15 Sept 2004 ~j <br />This was a complete inspection of the Eastside Mine conducted by Jim Stark of <br />CDMG. The mine has gone through a Phase II Bond Release and is in year nine of its <br />liability. The weather was warm and sunny and the ground was dry. <br />Availability of Records: All of the necessary records were available at the Garfield <br />County Courthouse in Glenwood Springs. See the records checklist at the end of <br />this inspection for more details. <br />Signs and Markers: The permit area markers were in place. The mine ID sign was up <br />at the main gate and was in good condition. <br />Roads: The mine access road was stable and in good condition at the time of the <br />inspection. No erosional problems were noted on the road. <br />Hydrologic Balance: -The riprap ditches from the mine site to the canyon bottom <br />were stable and in good condition. There were no signs of problems wit any of the <br />ditches. <br />-The area of the reclaimed pond appeared stable and well vegetated. <br />
