The site has been purchased by a <br />new landowner. Right of entry to the site will need to be established prior to commencement <br />of mining. To date, it appears that this site has not been disturbed by post-permit-issuance <br />mining. The river channel does appear to have been disturbed historically, probably for <br />flood control purposes. <br />The landowner was contacted, and he indicated that he does not intend to allow mining of this <br />site, but he was not adamant about that position. The operator believes he can still work <br />out an agreement for mining, with the landowner. <br />The required mine identification sign and permit boundary markers were not observed. The <br />operator must install the sign and markers, as per Rule 3.1.12, prior to October 30, 1998, <br />and send photo documentation that they have been installed.
