III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the
inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
On March 1, 1994, a partial inspection was conducted at the permanently
reclaimed Canadian Strip Mine. Observations of the mine were made from the
Marr Strip permit area. Pond 1 and the northern portions of the reclaim were
inspected. The area appeared to have a heavier than normal snow pack. Of
the disturbed area no sage or grass was above the snow level. The pond was
snow covered and frozen. This mine site has not changed since the last
inspection.
