(Page 2) MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1986-085 INSPECTION DATE 3/13/03 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS ESC This was an inspection of the Weaver Quarry conducted by Erica Crosby of the Division of Minerals and Geology. Mike Loukonen of Loukonen Bros. Stone was present during the inspection. An 110c Mining and Reclamation Permit was issued to Leonard Loukonen on December 5, 1986 for a total permit area of 7.5 acres. The Division holds a financial warranty in the amount of $7,000.00. A mine identification sign was posted at the entrance to the site. The permit area was delineated with boundary markers. The site is located '/< mile west of Masonville in Larimer County, Colorado. Structures on site include a storage shed, mobile home and a shop building. According to the reclamation plan, the buildings will remain on site. An irrigation ditch intersects the permit area, and has not been disturbed by the mining operation. No quarrying was taking place during the inspection. According to the operator, the site has been quarried for over 100 years. The original application states the site is to be 7.5 acres in size. However, according to drawings found in the adjacent Stark's Quarry file (Permit No. M-2001-114), the quarry permit boundary is approximately 5.7 acres in size. There is a permit overlap of approximately 1.8 acres between the Weaver and the Stark Quarries. The operator should £ile an acreage reduction request for the Weaver Quarry to reflect the true dividing line and permit acreage for the quarry. The operator is well within the mining limits of the permit. The actual size of the quarry is approximately 2 acres in size, and is adequately reflected in the 1998 bond estimate.
