The operator was in
the process of cleaning up the terrace that had been built for the
drag bucket equipment. East Pyeatt No. 2 had also been cleaned out
recently.
SLIIMP AREA
At the slump area, readings were taken of the depth to water in the
two monitoring wells. At the south well, the depth to water, from
the top of the casing, was 13.4 feet. The depth to water, from the
top of the casing, was 8.9 feet at the north well. The seep down
gradient of the southern monitoring well was still wet. The trees
that the operator had planted within the seep area were continuing
to grow. There was a very slow trickle coming out of the french
drain at the base of the slump area. There was a pronounced change
in vegetation between the east and west halves of the slump area.
The east half has a lot more grass, while the west side has only a
little grass and a moderate amount of Russian thistle. Contour
ditches were functional at the slump area. The operator has
submitted a report on the monitoring of the slump area, with a
request that monitoring be terminated.
2
