III. COMMENTS COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations
made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during
the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado Division of
Minerals and Geology. Three oblique aerial photos were reviewed in the office by
Kent Gorham of CDMG on March 30, 2001. This site is entirely reclaimed, with a
total reclaimed area of about seven acres.
Hydrologic Balance
The sediment pond was clearly visible in two of the photographs. It was dry and
the embankment appeared normal and in good condition.
Slides and Damage
The reclaimed area was clearly visible in photo 74-01-03-09-03, included in this
report. No unusual features, or sign of damage. slumps. or slides, could be seen
in the photograph.
Overall the site appeared in excellent condition for late winter.
3
