III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE ~~ C _~D ~00~ <br />Psy, ~ ~~~~-o~ <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the Hayden Gulch Mine conducted by Jim Stark of <br />CDMG. The mine site is reclaimed. The weather was cool and overcast and the <br />ground was dry, <br />Sians and Markers: All of the permit boundary and mine ID signs were posted. The <br />fences around the three shrub parcels were in good condition and marked. <br />Hvdroloaic Balance: -All of the ponds are permitted as permanent. Pond 003 <br />contained a very small amount of water but was not discharging, The pond was well <br />vegetated and appeared to be in good condition. <br />- Pond HG-8 also contained water. This pond was not discharging either. The pond <br />was well vegetated and appeared to be in good condition. <br />Fish and Wildlife: There was a large number of ducks on pond HG-8 at the time of the <br />inspection. <br />Revegetation/Reclamation Success: The three shrub parcels are all doing well. The <br />shrubs are all green and appear to be in good condition. The grasses in the shrub <br />parcels are also green and appear to be doing well. The parcel that is located <br />below the 1994 slump area appears to have the densest shrub cover followed by <br />parcel HG-08. The 1994 slump area is also covered with grass and appears to be <br />stable. <br />Slides and Damaae: The steel stakes that have been placed across the 1994 slump <br />area remain in alignment. There was no water coming out of any of the five French <br />Drain pipes below the slump area. <br />
