• (Page 2) •
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # N-85-100
INSPECTION DATE 10/10/96 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS AJW
OBSERVATIONS
This was a normal monitoring inspection conducted by Tony Waldron of DMG along with Ray Dodge
of the Baca County Road Department. The operator would like to proceed with performance
warranty release on this site.
The regrading looks Satisfactory and the revegetation looks good except for the north side
which is not likely to establish due to the lack of topsoil and poor quality subsoil. There
Is a large pile of rock that was hauled to this site for eventual crushing and processing,
however, due to a dispute with the landowners, access to complete this activity has been
denied. In order for warranty release to occur at this Site, this material will either have
to be transported to another county pit or the landowner will have to assume responsibility
for it and release the county of any liability for the remaining material. Once this
situation is cleared up this pit could be released.
Until this situation is resolved, the county will be required to poet a mine identification
sign at the entrance to the mine site along with permit boundary markers. This is cited as
a problem on page three of this report.
I & E Contact Address cc: Jim Stevens
❑ CE
NAME Don Self ❑ BL
OPERATOR Baca County ❑ FS
STREET P.O.
