III. COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during The inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. There are no Items of concern from previous inspections at the site. This mine is in permanent cessation and reclamation. With the exception of the sedimentation pond, drainage ditches, clear-water diversion ditch, and the mine drain pipe, all required demolition, backfilling, grading, soil preparation and seeding has been accomplished. A Phase II bond release application is in process. This aerial inspection report is prepared by Byron G. Walker from three aerial photographs (63- 01-10-11-1(1) through 3(3) on file at the Division (the photographs were also transmitted to the permittee electronically)) taken by, and an oral debriefing of, Mr. Harry Ranney, Environmental Protection Specialist of the Division. Mr. Harry Ranney advised that he saw nothing amiss at the site. Hydroloaic Balance: No water appears in the photographs. No erosional features are identifiable in the pictures. Suooort Facilities: The clean-water interceptor ditch, the disturbed area perimeter ditch, the sedimentation pond, and the permanent ditch across the reclaimed area appear in the pictures. All these features appear to be in good repair. General Mine Plan Compliance: The site is in the reclamation phase of the general mine plan. Only sediment control features have yet to be reclaimed on the site. There is no other activity apparent at the site. Reveaetation: Revegetation over the site appears to be successful. A Phase II Bond release of the area was approved on August 31, 2001. Reclamation Success: Reclamation work appears to have been successful and is in accordance with the approved reclamation plan.
