~S~jY ~Se~+~/u C-S"J-~18 <br />- Pond SS-2 was dry at the time of the inspection. The pond embankment was well <br />vegetated and appeared to be stable. There were no erosional problems on the <br />pond embankment. <br />- Pond DP-1 contained water at a level approximately one foot below the discharge <br />pipe. The pond was not discharging at the time of the inspection. The pond <br />embankment was well vegetated and appeared to be stable. There were no <br />erosional problems on the pond embankment. <br />-The ditch from the prep plant bench to pond DP-1 appeared to be stable at the <br />time of the inspection. There did not appear to be any erosional problems in the <br />ditch. <br />-The rock check dam SAE at transfer tower two (that was "blown-out" at the last <br />inspection) has been repaired. There was no problem with off-site sedimentation or <br />off-site impacts due to this SAE being "blown-out". <br />-The roadside ditches along the mine access road, overland conveyor road and <br />haul road to the refuse pile appeared to be stable and well maintained. <br />Processing Waste: Refuse Pile RP-1 was well vegetated and appeared to be stable at <br />the time of the inspection. <br />- Refuse Pile RP-2/3/4 was not actively being worked at the time of the inspection (it is <br />not used during the winter months). There is still extensive gullying on the east side of <br />the pile that will need to be fixed as soon as conditions permit. There was no water <br />pooling on the top of the pile and there did not appear to be any springs or seeps <br />coming from the pile. <br />- Refuse was being stockpiled in the temporary stockpile area on the southeast <br />portion of Refuse Pile RP-5a. The pile appeared to be stable at the time of the <br />inspections. There was no water pooling on the top of the pile and there did not <br />appear to be any springs or seeps coming from the pile. <br />
