Commerrls also descxibe any enforcement actlorts taken during the inspection and the facts or <br />evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />On Jrtne 19, 1998, Wiam J. Carter and Dan Hernandez from the Division of Minerals and Geology performed a <br />complete inspection on the Blue Ribbon Mine. During this ktapection the weather was dear and warm. <br />Avar7abitity of 1Reeorda• <br />See "DMG Availability of Records° attached. <br />These is a definite gap in the disturbed area markets. The lack of these markers makes it cliff cult to <br />determine where the actual disturbed arts is. Please place additional markers to make this designation <br />more visible. <br />B®ttia: <br />The Delta County read has been cleared and appears to be in a fairly stable condition at this time. <br />• Pond number four was dry at the time of this inspection. The primary outlet has been damaged <br />and needs to repaired. The overflow drain (emergency drain) is 2/3 filled at the outlet. Please <br />correrst these problems within the month. <br />• Pond number three was dry. <br />• Pond number five contained a small amount of water, about two to thrice inches at the deepest <br />point <br />• At the time of this inspection, the three underdrains were draining at a very low rate. <br />• The north culvert, (under the cou~y road) for the diversion drain of the stock pile area, is 1/3 <br />filled with debris. Also, please cored this situation within the month. <br />Slide. and Dama~• <br />No new slide or erosion damage was evident in the portal area at the time of this inspection. <br />~~ <br />Weed Contrd: <br />• No>aous weeds appear td be spreadng as compared with last growing season. As requested last year, <br />please notiry the Division when these weeds are treated so wa may assist in determining why weed <br />control fa rwt ae effective as desired. Also Abase include the location of treatrner~ chemkxle <br />used, and rates o1 applk~tion. <br />• Knapweed was again observed in both ponds numbers three and four as well es areas surounding these <br />ponds. <br />• t(napweed was observed in the reclaimed stock pile area. <br />• Several varieties of thistle was observed along the reclaimed mine road and the upper bench areas. <br />
