NW '/. Sec 35, T7N, Rt39W). This feature is <br />approximately 30 feet long, 15 feet wide, and 10 feet deep. There are also subsidence <br />features on the coal seam midway between the airshaft and upper portals. These items have <br />been referred to AML. <br />This report is based on an aerial inspection of January 9, 2001. Mr. Harry Ranney, <br />Environmental Protection Specialist (EPS) of the Division, made the flight and took <br />Photographs 46-01-01-09-I (1) and 46-01-01-09-2 (2). Both photographs are of the mine portal <br />areas (not of the subsidence features mentioned above). This report ~ compiled by Byron G. <br />Walker, EPS, based on an oral debriefing of Mr. Harry Ranney and a review of photographs <br />taken by Mr. Ranney. Mr. Ranney stated that he saw no problems at the site. The <br />Phoiographs.are on file at the Division. Comments are necessarily limited to the scale and <br />detail of the photographs. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE The interceptor ditch is filled with snow as is the diversion ditch <br />above the reclaimed cribwall. The sedimentation pond does not appear in the photographs. <br />There is no surface flow visible in the photographs. <br />See the introductory remarks concerning items of interest above. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS There does not appear 1o be any erosion of reclamation work <br />(reclamation of the crib wall or the backfill over the lower air intake portal). <br />Page ~ of_~_ Popes.
