III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the Hamilton Mine for the month of December, 1996. <br />The site appears to remain stable. Some erosion that had occurred to the facilities area access <br />road during a large storm event this past season leas been repaired and regraded. The site was <br />free of snow cover. Recent snow accumulations, that the operator indicated had reached <br />depths of 18 inches, had melted. Pond A was dry. Pond B had approximately 2 - 3 feet of <br />water in it, but it was not discharging. <br />Many mule deer were observed on, and in the vicinity of, the mine site. <br />
