III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspecfion. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br />inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br />evidence supporting the enforcement acrion. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the Hamilton Mine conducted by Hazry Ranney of the DRMS. <br />Aerial photographs were taken on Januazy 16, 2007. Weather conditions were cleaz and sunny at <br />the time of the flight. Mike Boulay of the DRMS reviewed the aerial photographs. <br />Six photos were taken during the flyover. The entire Mine Area 1 and Sedimentation Ponds A <br />and B were visible in the photographs. The mine site was snow covered and there was no <br />activity at the site during the flyover. No problems were noted in any of the aerial photographs. <br />Roads leading to Mine Area 1 and to the sedimentation ponds appeazed to be snow packed. <br />Sedimentation Ponds A and B were viewed. Neither pond appeazed to be retaining water but <br />both were snow covered. No problems were noted at any of these sediment pond locations. <br />Some vegetation can be seen through the snow cover; however the vegetation in Mine Area 1 <br />appears sparse. <br />
