COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE M~~~ ~ ~~(~-.~~ <br />(a/~0( ~~ <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Marr Mine conducted by Jim Stark of CDMG. <br />The mine has been reclaimed. The weather was cold and overcast and there was <br />about eight inches of snow on the ground. <br />Availability of Records: All of the records were available at the mine office. See the Records <br />Check List at the end of this report for more details. <br />Signs and Markers: All of the necessary signs were posted at the mine site and <br />loadout (Mine ID signs, topsoil stockpile signs, permit boundary signs, etc.). <br />Roads: -The access road to the loadout was covered with snow but appeared to be <br />well maintained and in good condition. <br />- The permanent light use road (former haul road) that remains on the site was also <br />covered with snow but appeared to be well maintained and in good condition as <br />well. <br />Hvdroloaic Balance: - Pond A appeared dry at the time of this inspection. <br />- Ponds B and C also appeared to be dry. <br />- Pond D contained water but was not discharging. <br />- Pond E contained water but was not discharging. The two culverts that run from <br />the outfall under the road are half full of sediment and need to be cleaned out. <br />- Pond F appeared to be dry. <br />- Pond G appeared to be dry. <br />- The pond at the loadout contained water several feet below the discharge pipe. <br />Revegetation/Reclamation Success: The ground was covered with about eight <br />inches of snow so it was not possible to ascertain the condition of the vegetation at <br />the time of the inspection. <br />
