t <br /> <br />III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology. This site is permit revoked and is on a reduced inspection <br />frequency of two inspections per year. <br />Hydrologic Balance <br />Pond A was holding a small puddle of water in the bottom indicating runoff from a <br />recent storm event. Pond K to the north was dry with areas of cattails and other <br />hydrophytes in the bottom. Sediment ponds appear to be in functional condition. <br />lamation Success <br />The mine site appears stable with regard to excessive erosion. Vegetation on the <br />south-facing slopes appeared sparse, likely due to over-grazing. Cattle were observed <br />on the site during the inspection. <br />Overall, the mine site appeared unchanged from previous inspections. <br />Page 3 <br />
