There was a small channel leading off site into
the draw on the south end of Phase 1 b. The channel appears to be stable, but the operator agreed to lay the channel sides
back and armor the channel to ensure it can handle significant flows since most pit drainage exits the site at this location.
The mine identification sign and affected area boundary markers are in place and in compliance with Rule 3.1.12.
No significant infestations of noxious or other problematic weeds were noted on site during this inspection.
The pit was currently inactive for excavation. Some trucks ware loading from stockpiles, and the asphalt plant was being
removed from the site.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Steve Shuey at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand Junction
Field Office, 101 South 3rd Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone number 970-243-6368.
I & E Contact Address
NAME Kevin Hunt
OPERATOR Montrose Countv
STREET 161 South Townsend
CITY/STATE/ZIP Montrose.
