COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action
This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado Division of Minerals
and Geology. Oblique aerial photographs were reviewed by Kent Gorham of the CDMG on
December 19. 2004. This former underground mine is reclaimed. Remaining buildings and
structures are approved to remain as permanent structures.
Hydrologic Balance
Overall, the site appeared in good condition for the winter season. Nothing warranting on-
the-ground inspection was noted in any of the photographs reviewed.
One photograph in particular clearly represented conditions at the majority of the site.
Patchy snow covered the ground in shaded areas but exposed areas were free of snow
cover. Contour ditches were clearly visible and appeared in good condition. The lone
sediment pond at the site was partially visible and held some water in the south end. The
slopes of the refuse highwall and the refuse pile above the pond showed no evidence of rills,
gullies, or damage of any kind
