a
III. Comments/Compliance
This was a complete inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG on the Thursday,
August 16, 2002. This site was quiet and deserted. The weather was warm, dry and clear.
At the East Mine, the area below the road that was amended last year, the vegetation was
mostly brown and baked. There was no evidence of erosion but there was evidence of some
rainfall since the last inspection.
The ditches were all dry, but showed evidence of having carried a small amount of water
recently. Seeps in the slump areas above the road were completely dry however.
At the Middle Mine, the vegetation was all brown. There were no signs of erosion or
instability that haven't been there before.
At the West Mine, the vegetation was exceAent, with thick grasses and numerous shrubs,
although much of it shows the effects of the dry weather. The pond was dry. Pond
embankments were stable. There was na evidence of siltation escaping from the site.
