III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspecGOn The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action <br />This was a complete inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation. Mining, and Safety (Division). This mine is in permanent cessation and <br />reclamation of most areas is complete. George Patterson of Energy Fuels Mining Company <br />(EFMC) was present dunng the inspection. Generally, ground conditions were dry but <br />evidence of recent rainfall was noted The weather was cool and mdd. <br />Availability of Records <br />The public copy of the mine records is kept at the Energy Fuels Coal Company office in <br />Florence. Specific details regarding the records inspection can be found on page 2a of this <br />report. All records were found m compliance. <br />Hydrologic Balance <br />For the second consecutive month, Pond 5 held a modest amount of water from the recent <br />rains Mr Patterson indicated that the area had received rainfall approximately every three <br />days Pond 4, however, was dry Magpie Creek diversion showed no evidence of flow, <br />Ponds L1 and L2 at the loadout were both dry All pond embankments appeared stable with <br />no sign of damage or erosion. <br />Revegetatron <br />The excellent <br />growing <br />conditions <br />continue with <br />abundant and <br />recurrent rains <br />coupled with <br />warming soil <br />temperatures. <br />Forbs are <br />doing <br />especially well <br />due to <br />relatively cool <br />weather with <br />alfalfa, sweet <br />clover. and <br />cicer milkvetch <br />noted in <br />significant <br />numbers.
