111. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection, conducted by Jce Dudash of the Colorado Division of Minerals <br />and Geology. Forrest Luke represented the operator. There was not a lot of snow on the ground. <br />Most of the snow has tnelted off before the arrival of the spring rains. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS <br />Mine ID signs, containing the correct information, and blasting notice signs were present at all <br />entrances to the mine site. Permit boundary markers were also present. <br />FACILITIES <br />There were no problems at the industrial storage area, office area, anfo sites, waste oil site and <br />the explosives storage site. <br />ROADS <br />Alt of the haul roads were in good shape. There were no dust problems associated with haul road <br />usage. Most of the access and light use roads were passable, although some were muddy. The <br />road up Flume Gulch and the road down to the Oak ponds were snow covered. <br />TOPSOIL <br />All of the topsoil stockpiles were properly protected and showed no signs of erosion. Topsoil <br />signs were up. <br />SAE <br />The former topsoil stockpile area that lies to the extreme west of the mine site, which is now an <br />SAE, needs some maintenance. The hay bales will need replacement fairly soon. Once the snow <br />melts off of this site, the collection ditches may need some touch up work as well. The area needs <br />
