The site was last inspected July 26, 1999.
this is a small 9.2 acre Limited Impact permit located about 8 miles northwest of Rye Just off of highway 165.
Permit boundary is marked with orange tipped steel fence posts. An appropriate mine ID sign has been placed
at the entrance of the permit area.
Mining is currently occurring in the southern and central portions of the pit area. Material is excavated,
processed, stockpiled then removed as needed.
Other than grading the west outslopes to a gentle 5:1 or less gradient, no reclamation has occurred.
Only one small problem noted this time. One small rill has occurred on the east side of the pit. The operator
should berm the area so runoff will not exit the site. Ms. Reeves said the area received about 148 Inches of snow
this winter so there was quite a bit of runoff offer the snow started melting.
Did not observe any obvious problems.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Walter Pope
OPERATOR: Pone Pit #2
STREET: 1947 Silnnm Rnnc-1 Sni rfh
CITY/STATE/ZIP: PuPhlo,Cn Rlnns
Harry Posey (e-mail)
cc: I' CE
I' B L
I' FS
I' H W
I' HMWMD (CH)
r SE
t WQCD (CH)
I' OTHER
