O (Page 21
•
MINE ID k OR PROSPECTING ID X M-1982-154
INSPECTION DATE 12-21-2000 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS SSS
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted as part of The Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) monitoring program for permitted
mines in Colorado.
The mine identification sign and affected area boundary markers are in place and in compliance with Rule 3.1.12.
No significant infestations of noxious or other problematic weeds were noted on site during this inspection.
No significant erosional features were noted on the affected areas of the site.
The operator indicated that no excavation occurred at the site this past year. Mining is planned for the upcoming season.
The river appears to have recharged the gravel deposit in the permit area, though it has taken more than one year due to
low spring runoff rates the past couple of years. The river banks in the vicinity of the pit appear to be stabile, with natural
vegetation becoming well established on the north permit boundary and west permit boundary that lies north of the river.
The site currently has no stockpiled material or mining equipment on site. The site is currently approved for intermittent
mining status.
The reclamation cost estimate was not recalculated as part of this inspection. The current estimate was recalculated less
than three years ago and the operation is in compliance with the approved mine plan and reclamation plan. Therefore, the
current financial warranty is believed to be adequate to reclaim the site per the approved reclamation plan.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Steve Shuey at the Division's Durango Field Office. The address
is; Division of Minerals and Geology, 701 Camino del Rio, Roam 125, Durango, Colorado 81301, phone no. 970-247-5062.
I & E Contact Address
NAME Patricia Farnsworth
OPERATOR Farnsworth Construction Comoanv
STREET 1494 Hiohwav 133
CITY/STATE/ZIP Paonia, Colorado 81428
E/2 SE/4 Sec. 1, T14S, R92W, 6'" P.M.
cc: Tom Gillis, DMG
CE Randy Snyder - G.J.
