(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1998-084
INSPECTION DATE 03-30-2005
OBSERVATIONS
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS SSS
This was a routine inspection conducted as part of an on-going monitoring plan for permitted mine sites. This inspection also
served to assess current site conditions for use in updating the reclamation cost estimate, ensuring the current financial
warranty is adequate to reclaim the site.
The mine identification sign and affected area boundary markers are in place and in compliance with Rule 3.1.12.
No significant erosional features were noted on the affected areas of the site.
The site remains unmined, but vegetation clearing has taken place on the initial pit area. This clearing appears to have taken
place over a year ago resulting in a stand of annual weeds across the cleared area. The weeds are not noxious and are
helping to stabilize the soil for now. Surrounding lands are also infested with these annual weeds, so seed transportation tooff-
site areas is not a concern at this time.
Mr. Settle indicated that the permittee is considering activating this site.
The reclamation cost estimate was not recalculated as part of this inspection. The current estimate was recalculated three
years ago and the operation is still inactive and conditions have not changed since that calculation.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Steve Shuey at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand Junction
Field Office, 101 South 3rd Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone number 970-243-6368.
I & E Contact Address cc:
^ CE
NAME Edward Settle ^ BL
OPERATOR Grand Junction Pine & Suoolv Co. ^ FS
STREET P.
