III. Comments/Compliance <br />This was a partial inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG on the afternoon of <br />Tuesday, January 4, 2004. This site was quiet and deserted. The weather was very cold <br />with a significant snow cover over the entire site. <br />At the East Mine, in the area below the road that was amended last year was snow-covered. <br />There was no evidence of erosion at the bottom of the slope There was no evidence of <br />offsite impact along the river. <br />The road ditches were piled with snow. The road itself was in good repair but snow-packed. <br />The area above the road showed no evidence of instability or erosion, but even this south- <br />--facing slope was snow-covere ere i no appear o ave een any recen movemen --- <br />on the slumps from the top down over the road and these were not noticeably seeping. <br />At the Middle Mine, the slope was snow-covered. There were no signs of erosion or <br />instability that haven't been there before. <br />At the West Mine, there was a cover of 12-14 inches of snow. The pond snow. Pond <br />embankments were stable. There was no evidence of sediment escaping from the site. <br />
