ORIGINAL -PUBLIC FILE
(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn_te99_ng~
INSPECTION DATE: a-n9-n~ INSPECTOROS INITIALS: ~-
OBSERVATIONS
The Division conducted a possible problem resolution inspection of the site on 9-9-03. The site is a small 9.9
acres sand and gravel operation located in Cheyenne County. Present during the inspection was Mr. DON
Esarry of Cheyenne County. When the site was last inspected on 5-08-00, a posslble problem for not displaying
the permit sign and off site impact to the Hydrologic Balance was noted. The purpose of this inspection was to
verify the fact that the operator had Indeed placed the signs and markers as required by the Rules and also
placed a berm to protect the drainage from off site impact. Under the Clean Water Act, all counties with
population less than 50, 000 people are exempt from BMP practices. However, since this was noted as a
possible problem, the operator had constructed a berm to protect any drainage from reaching the dry
streambed. The site was not active at the time of the inspection. A small amount of processed material was
noted along the North side of the permit area. There was also a small screen that was located in the area of
what appeared to be the pit floor. Topsoil piles properly protected. Permit sign and property boundary markers
were properly posted. The operation is in compliance with the approved reclamation permit.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: MR DON ISERY
OPERATOR: CHEYENNE COUNTY
STREET: P_O_ROX .SG7
CITY/STATE/ZIP: C'HFYFNNF WFI I S CO RnRln
CC:
Harry Posey (e-mail)
cc: r CE
P BL
t FS
I' H W
t HMWMD (CH)
I' SE
I' WQCD (CH)
I' OTHER
