III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />On January 19 and 20, 1995 a partial inspection was conducted at the permanently <br />reclaimed Canadian Strip Mine. Present during the inspection was Wally Erickson <br />who will be the new lead specialist for this mine. <br />Pond 2 was inspected on the 19th and pond 1 was inspected on the 20th. Snow made <br />detailed observations of the mine site difficult. Pond bottoms were snow covered as <br />were north facing slopes. Wooden stakes were in the embankment of pond 1 from <br />recent surveying. <br />This mine was in compliance with the Division Rules and with the terms of the permit. <br />
