III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection conducted by Janet Binns, of Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology. Mr. Frank Self of Trapper Mining Inc. accompanied the inspection. The weather was warn <br />and clear. Soil surface throughout the mine site was dry. Mr. Self reported that TMI had measured <br />0.92" precipitation in the past week. The mine is an active surface mine. <br />Records: Please refer to "Availability of Records" form in this report. <br />HvdroloQic Balance: <br />Drainages throughout mine site are in good repair. Johnson drainage was walked between ponds as <br />was Oak drainage and un-named drainage to the east of Oak drainage. No problems or downcutting of <br />the drainages were encountered throughout the mine site. <br />Ponds were inspected: <br />Pond Name NPDES Condition Maintenance needed <br /> <br />East Flume 023 Holding water 5$ ft. below spillway.
